We’re not sure what was more exciting about this patterned and printed Austin wedding weekend — the stunning wedding at Woodbine Mansion on Saturday, or the welcome party/bride’s birthday bash the night before. It may have been the most incredible party we’ve ever done: a welcome-slash-birthday-party for 300 at 800 Congress. Ansley knew we were planning a 29th birthday party for her dubbed “Studio 29,” but beyond the venue and the band, the details were a surprise. The dancing queen and her king were greeted with a lit marquee entry before walking through the silvery balloon tunnel into a boogie wonderland with so many disco balls and tinsel fringes it would make you sick. There was a hotdog cart decked out with nostalgic desserts like cosmic brownies, vintage rentals that brought an authentic 70s flair, and an epic choreographed roller skate performance that wowed the crowd.
Saturday’s wedding was the perfect ending to the incredible weekend, bringing over-the-top garden party vibes with a touch of whimsy thanks to the show-stopping stationery from East Rose Studio. You know we love good branding at XO Moreau, but the stationery truly was the star of the entire weekend. Each event was branded to the nines with stand-out features like playing card escort cards, leather-bound martini bar menus, custom matchbooks, paper fortune tellers a la 1995 to help guests decide what to order, and an accordion-style dinner menu hidden beneath the biggest silk bow you ever saw. And did we mention the cherubs everywhere? So many cherubs, because why not?

Moody fall colors with some retro vibes thrown in. Classic motifs like cherubs were mixed with modern touches like custom playing cards (a play on the couple’s initials, A and J) and vibrant florals, and funky twists like the bride’s pink feathered farewell dress and a “honk if you’re horny” sign on the getaway rickshaw.Client Love

We started working together in April of 2022 for a November 2023 wedding, and as a ~type B~ bride, she kept me on track and completely calm throughout the entire process. We had a lot of moving parts (including 4 bands!) and from executing contracts to keeping the timeline organized, etc., she took any stress off my hands and let me just enjoy the experience.
I had a strong vision for the style and decor for our wedding and she NAILED it. It was like she entered my brain and spit out the perfect design board. One of the best things that comes with working with Alex is her vendor connections and recommendations. We were able to secure the best of the best because they all WANT to work with Alex and appreciate their past projects so deeply. In addition to the wedding, her and my mom planned the most insane Friday night surprise disco party of my DREAMS and every detail was just so elite and perfect.
Above all, she’s such a caring and kind person who puts her clients first and makes your wedding the thing you’ve been imagining since you were a little kid. I’ll recommend Alex until the end of time! You will never regret working with her.
