Client Wedding

Al + Brett

A Garden Disco at Laguna Gloria
Host a rager, but make it chill — that was our mission with Al and Brett’s March wedding in Austin, and not to brag, but we #NailedIt. Their wedding day vision was made for Laguna Gloria, the sculpture garden at The Contemporary Austin art museum. Guests were greeted with a Topo Chico-stocked rolling cart before taking their seats for the ceremony in a waterfront amphitheater surrounded by wooded paths bedazzled with trailing installations of terracotta chrysanthemums and peach roses. Brett wore a sage-colored suit and floral tie, Al wore a feather-and-gem-encrusted robe over a cropped white pantsuit, and all their guests wore tear-stained smiles as the couple exchanged heartfelt I do’s. But that was the end of the sappy stuff; post-ceremony, the crowd imbibed in yet another rolling cart decked out with spicy margs and sidecars, dined at one long “cool kids table,” and lit their blunts with custom matchbook favors. As the sun set, the party moved to the dancing tent complete with custom platform, flooring, and DJ booth, a zillion glittery disco balls, and vibes for days. The evening ended with — you guessed it — two more rolling carts stocked with snacks to keep the munchies at bay, a sparkler sendoff, and a vintage Oldsmobile getaway car. We know one thing’s for sure: Brett, Al, and everyone in their crowd slept good that night.

THE VIBE

Modern disco. We Austin-ified Studio 54, bringing in disco balls, feathers, hue-on-hue floral installations, and the shag carpet wedding cake of your dreams. And though the guests weren’t on roller skates, their food and bev was: Topo Chico, margaritas, wedding cake, and soft pretzels all made a grand entrance and exit on rolling carts.
