The Knot Mixer

The Knot + WeddingWire

Getting ‘groovy, babe at Austin’s Springdale Station
When The Knot reached out to XO Moreau with an invitation to plan their The Knot + WeddingWire vendor mixer at Austin’s Springdale Station, we rolled up our sleeves, assembled our dream vendor team, and got to the work we love most. The Knot was generous enough to give us complete creative freedom—so, naturally, we indulged our long-burning desire to plan a 70s-inspired desert affair and leaned into all-things groovy, babe (succulent-styled churro bar, anyone?).

THE VIBE

We had an epic backdrop to work with (Springdale Station is one of our favorite East Austin wedding venues and an utter GEM)—and, more than anything, we wanted to focus on creating guest interaction at every possible touch point. Serve-yourself champagne on tap and a “ring for tacos” wall (honestly, the only kind of doorbell we’re interested in from here on out) cultivated an immersive environment of play—while a branded cactus ice sculpture and velvet lounge corners made for talking points and gathering places guests dug. Our favorite part though? That color palette—muted sages and soft teals, rusts and terracottas, and a few purposeful pops of pink had us living our best desert lives…in corduroy bell bottoms, of course.
