Nobody can claim that Rosalie and Matt’s three-day wedding in Fort Worth was all hat and no cattle, because there were literally cattle there. And country music, a mobile honky tonk, a donkey serving beers, and, yes, lots of ten-gallon hats. Would you expect anything less from a chic western XO Moreau wedding?
The weekend started with an intimate church ceremony, followed by a rattlesnake and elk dinner. The real party started on Friday when we hosted “Wild West Fest,” our own welcome party bluegrass music festival. While our three-band lineup rocked the house, guests chowed down on juicy barbecue, posed for pics with a longhorn, and ogled Summit & Sage’s tickets, posters, and floor-to-ceiling banners that put real concert swag to shame. Saturday’s events — all held at our dream venue, Hotel Drover — were the cherry on top of this cowboy chic sundae, which began with a stunning tented ceremony decked out in Remi + Gold’s flower magic. We kept the whiskey flowing and guests entertained with two cocktail hours before welcoming them into a charming reception space set with plaid linens, cowhide table runners, and custom dance floor. But the party wasn’t over when the band hung up their hats; a second line led the guests on to an after-party where they boot-scootin’-boogied the night away.

As soon as we got engaged, I knew I wanted to find a wedding planner who would not just seamlessly orchestrate the logistics of a wedding weekend, but also bring a design perspective to really make the wedding feel like us while still feeling elevated and cohesive, and with Alex we got all of that and so much more. One of the things that really drew me to Alex’s work initially (besides how jaw droppingly stunning they all are!) was the huge range I saw in the weddings she had planned, and how evident it was that they were each so unique and personal to the couples she worked with.
Once we started working together, Alex took my wide assortment of inspiration and used her design genius to pull together a weekend of events that combined my favorite elements of vastly different ideas in a way that felt personal to my husband and I and like nothing we had seen before in the very best way! Alex planned four events for us, and each event had its own personality and vibe while still tying into an overall cohesive feel that made the wedding weekend feel intentional but also like each event was an entirely new experience. She took the time to understand our priorities and who we are as people, and that attentiveness shown through in every detail as well as the flow of the event overall. We told her we wanted to prioritize music and the dance floor and that above all we wanted the weekend to be fun, and boy did she deliver, taking any rough idea we had and making it 1000x better!
Once the weekend finally arrived, we truly got to enjoy every moment of our events knowing Alex had it more than under control. Even when adverse weather changed our plans less than 24 hours before an event we had planned to have outdoors, she seamlessly managed all of the changes and the event was somehow even better than we had originally planned. Months later, we are still coming down from the high of our wedding and it is all thanks to Alex and the amazing team she pulled together for us!
